Windy and a Bit Cold Fishing Report
The fishing tonight on Lake Bemidji was a bit rough. With the wind, and cold water, the conditions were bitter at times. We located some fish early near the weeds on the East Bank. 1/4 mile north of the Sandford Center. The majority of the fish were caught in water between 4 and 8 feet deep. We used jig and minnow and also tried some crank baits and dusk. Trophy fish are hard to come bye, and luck was not on our side tonight.

We love the weather =D
Rain, rain, go away. Come back another day. I want to go fishing, however the weather has its own plans. Plan a day off, and get soaked. Fishing on a boat in nice weather is relaxing, and pleasant. Fishing while its raining your hardcore. however drenched. So I guess the plan is to go out fishing the next day off. Good Luck!

Spring is Here in Northern Minnesota
Spring is here and the Ice is coming off lake Bemidji, MN, Finally. High winds and warm temperatures hasten the melt. I have seen a few hardy fishermen testing their skills with ice sheets a few hundred feet away. But opener was not that important to me, this year. I want to relax and have fun. More constant attention is needed with ice, wind, and other objects. Lots of birds to share the open water with. Have fun and be safe the next couple of weeks. Don't hit an Ice Berg.
